Notice of works and traffic control - Newbold Road and Lindridge Lane

We have been informed that road works are planned around the junction of Lindridge Lane and Newbold Road on the 10th February 2025 for up to 2 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Severn Trent Water& their contractors to undertake installation of new apparatus & other associated works.

Road Closure Notice - Chapel Lane - 23rd January 2025

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for STW and their contractors to facilitate installation of new apparatus.


A road closure is required on Chapel Lane, Desford on the 23rd January 2025 for 1 day.


Access to properties will be maintained, however a short delay in gaining access may occur whilst the area is made safe.

2024 annual survey of the Hunts Lane verge

Please find attached report for our annual survey of the Hunts Lane verge.

For those of you who don't know, this is a joint project with Desford in Bloom.

The verge is left uncut during the mowing season, then Council contractors cut it in or around the first week in September. Volunteers from DiB then rake it and remove the hay.
