Notice of Uncontested Election

Attached is a notice issued by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council which indicates that there will not be an election for Desford Parish Council on 2 May.

This is because there have only been 9 residents nominated for the 12 available Councillor positions. The names of the 9 successful candidates are given on the attached notice.

Hence, at their first meeting in May, the new Council will be asked to agree to seek suitable candidates for the 3 vacancies.
